Two way to visit the Orchid's Park :
• Guided Tour of Park, in Creole Style it's the most beautiful garden of Guadeloupe
  and the orchid's collection, the most important of the island, one of the most important of West indies.
  One hour long, without meeting, price 9 euros
  • From December 15 till April 30: Thursday and Friday at 10 hr and at 14 hr, Sunday at 10 hr.
  • From May 1-st till December 14: Friday at 10 hr and at 14 hr.
  
  
• Saturday at 10 o'clock all year long on meeting:
  Conducted tour of the Park and the collection of orchids, patrimony: healing plants, history, tastings.
  ( As described below, lasted 2h30, rate adults 16 euros, reductions children and resident)

• The strong moments:
  • To understand the place of the wild orchids in the forest.
  • To see orchids in the natural environment, flowers all year long. One of the more important orchid's collection of Caribbean and totally in natural environment (no greenhouses).
  • To understand the constitution of the wet rain forest.
  • To know Creole medicine ( Guadelupian healing plants).
  • To sample tropical fruits (according to the season: soursop, collides, maracudja, mango, papaya, plum coffee, apple-canelle, etc.)
  • Better to understand the culture of orchids in moderate environment or in tropical environment.
  • To take time to see closely the tropical flowers and the orchids.
  • To have notions of Amerindian history.

• During your holidays in Guadeloupe there are impossible to circumvent places to be seen absolutely , The visit of the Park aux Orchidées of Guadeloupe is a part of it. it is made under shape of conducted tour and only on meeting, by telephone or by e-mail, to avoid being too numerous in a group.
  Hard visit about 3 hours and starts necessarily at 10 o'clock on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  It is not only the visit of a floral park, even though we have the biggest collection of orchids, we would try also better to understand the wet rain forest and its particular aspects, the medicinal virtues of trees and plant which surround us and the reasons of their absence in the 'official' medicine, the culture of the orchids whether it is in tropical environment or in environment moderate as in Europe or USA, we shall also make a little of Amerindian history in the museum with interesting archaeological details.
  And naturally there will be ' gustative surprises ' with the possibility of tasting fruits, juices and also varied punches all more delicious some than the others. To associate knowledge, floral dazzle and pleasure of papilles, such is the creed of this visit.

• geographic Situation: The Park aux Orchidées is situated on Basse-Terre to Pointe-Noire, 3,5 km after the exit of the village in the direction of Deshaies.
  
  
• Accesses since the airport: to take direction Basse-Terre then Pointe-Noire by the road of the crossing / park National. In the end of the road to take to the right direction Pointe-Noire's village, to cross it. 3,5 km after the exit of the village in remaining on the national road there are green barriers along the road, to park on the highly-rated at the level of Baille-argent's elementary school, the Park is indicated just later on your left.
