The Parc aux Orchidées is recommanded by the Guadeloupe National Park
 The Parc aux Orchidées is situated in Pointe-Noire, carribean coast, Guadeloupe, between sea and mountain. (Map of Guadeloupe)
Guadeloupe: it is an important island of the lesser Antilles (between Dominica and Montserrat-Antigua) with 2 main parts : Grande-Terre where are the majority of hotels and Basse-Terre about which the Caribbean coast and particularly Pointe-Noire knew how to preserve an authentic character, an intact nature, associating sandy beaches clearly magnificent and a really astonishing rain forest (we never grow tired of it!).
Beaches and forest, seas and rivers in 5 mn some of the others it is really a characteristic of Pointe-Noire and the Caribbean coast of Guadeloupe.
You will meet there also a charming population ready to help you of numerous occasion. Spoken languages are the Creole and French, and a little English also (in Parc aux Orchidées we speak French and also English).
The orchid's garden was created by Jean-Claude Rancé, this one put, during 30 years, all the passion in the service of this magnificently rich garden not only in orchids from the whole world which live here in natural environment but also in numerous sorts of the Guadelupian flora of which medicinal sorts.
They are so about 3000 orchids distributed in 400 species or variety show (that is the biggest collection of orchids of Guadeloupe!) and so thousand flowers, palm trees, trees or shrubs which offer themselves to the glance and to the curiosity of the guests of the park during conducted tours organized by the owner of the places during which he proposes more tastings fruits either sure of punch receipts of which are kept well...
In 2004, Valérie and Richard Gautier decided to raise this challenge cup and to continue Jean-Claude's work by resuming the management of this magnificent park and by continuing conducted tour.
Besides conducted tours they propose you a seasonal residence : vacations in bungalows (cottages) in this charming park in Guadeloupe!
Already fascinated with plants and flowers (look at www.balade-fleurie.com), of transmissions of knowledge (look at www.plantencyclo.com), Valérie and Richard worked both in the field of the health and are in complete harmony with this magic park and his creator Jean-Claude. The conservation of this patrimony, the transmission of knowledge concerning the use of healing plants is so their priority.
